Call Recording Policy
Last updated: September 23, 2026.
This page explains how call recording works in Integral Showings. It supplements, and does not replace, the call-recording terms in our Terms of Service (Section 6) and the handling described in our Privacy Policy.
What gets recorded
When a call is handled by a business's AI receptionist, the call audio may be recorded, and a written transcript, summary, and lead information may be generated from it. This happens automatically as part of how the Service works - it is not something a business turns on separately for a specific call.
The notice we play
As a default, the Service plays an automated notice near the start of a call letting the caller know the call may be recorded. This default notice is a feature of the product, not a legal guarantee. Recording, wiretapping, and consent laws differ by state and country, including whether one participant's consent is enough or whether every participant must consent, and what form that consent has to take. We do not publish a state-by-state breakdown of those rules on this page, because that determination depends on facts specific to a business - where they operate, where their callers are, and how they use the Service - and a generic answer risks being wrong for a specific situation.
The business using the Service is responsible for confirming what consent and disclosure their use of call recording requires, in every place they operate and take calls from, and for configuring their use of the Service accordingly. If that is unclear, the business should talk to an attorney licensed in the relevant state rather than relying on this page or the default notice as legal confirmation.
Transcription and AI analysis
Recorded calls are processed by our voice-AI provider to produce a transcript, and by our systems to produce a summary and an automated lead label. See our Privacy Policy for the current list of providers involved in this processing.
How long recordings are kept
Recordings and transcripts are kept for as long as the associated account is active, or as long as reasonably needed to provide the Service, consistent with the retention practices described in our Privacy Policy. A business can request deletion of its account and associated recordings by contacting us.
Who can access a recording
A recording and its transcript are available to the business whose AI receptionist handled the call, through their dashboard. Our own access is limited to what is reasonably necessary to operate, secure, and support the Service. We do not listen to or review call recordings as a matter of course.
Requests from a caller
If you were a caller on a recorded call and have a question about that recording, the business you called controls that recording and is the right first point of contact. If you would like to reach us directly about a call handled by the Service, email support@integralshowings.com and we will do what we reasonably can to help.
